Yeah I realize they are not actually part of the company but they have built reels for bps for a long time and I read somewhere that they were building the new lews. I could be mistaken, but the internals of all my bps reels my lews and abu are almost identical except for the drag design. I also know they are not exactly the same as far as materials being built. Was just saying they are of the same pedigree.

Whoaa!!! This thread got out of hand. A guy was simply trying to let people know of a good deal on a decent reel. I guess thats what u get for going against the Shimano posse. I'm a pinnacle fan myself for their quality at a given price, I find them hard to beat, since not everyone can afford a $200 reel.

I might get banned for this by the Shimano crew , buuuut I just purchased a US Reel Hibbdon 800SX for $40 off Cabelas and can't wait to get it in.

Tell me about it I'm in the same situation trying to find a rifle. There are always sales for righties with scope included, not so for us lefties...luckily I use right handed BCs coming from using spinning reels exclusively.

Wow.... Glad i Got mine the other day.

Bought one for my dad (glad I got one before you guys bought them all up). I have one and only my chronarch's get more time on the water. It's a great reel. My only complaint is the drag is a little light. Road warrior, have you tried one? It pains me to say it but it's smoother than any of my shimanos.

I just got mine in, bought one used in LH off of a forum and I put it back on my carbonlite MH....feels so light. Im not letting this one go, made the mistake once already.
