2013 Bass Pro Shops Master Catalog...eeehhhhh

Featured Replies

Got the 2013 BPS master catalog a few days ago. I like to spend a good hour or two to look at and enjoy the new BPS catalog.

What I can say is...the stuff inside looks like the 2012 catalog....but minus important specs of rods, reels and lures. Now BPS wants you to go to the website to get pertinent information that has always been available in previous catalogs.

There really wasn't anything in the new master catalog that made me say WOW, I want/need that....in a nutshell quite boring and has less information that I really need.

I agree. A disappointment.

The only good thing about it, is some time in the last 2-3 years I stopped getting about 4000 of them a year. I think BPS is personally responsable for my mail man having to retire early because of back/shoulder problems.

lol, i feel the same way. I used to get at least 10 a year. Then every single little sale flyer and promotion.

I should have gotten them to send me one to school. BPS and Cabela's are a go-to when it comes to bathroom material.

I agree, but the pages are a little rough.

Well played.

They're not to bad, just stay away from the hook section.

Noticed they dropped a few brands of reels

In favor of their own cheaper models.

I looked it over and didn't see anything I wanted.  I also go a flyer in today's mail.  I get a couple of them each week.  Today when I was in the main store getting swivel locks for A rigs, they tried to give me another catalog and even a saltwater edition if I wanted it.

Hook section isn't too bad...it's the fillet knife section that makes me jump.

Was up there last Summer. The Bass fishing

Mecca.

You might wanna check your pulse if theres nothing in the entire catalog you would like to have. Every time I open the thing I stare at that pixy R for at least five mins.

Wasn't there a thread identical to this posted very recently?

I threw mine away once I took one good review of it.  Very disappointing.

I think they did it because they are dropping the order through catalog thing.

The BPS catalog is also where I started drooling over the the Type R..............but if you DO decide to go for it.................shop elsewhere and save almost a hundred clams....

I received the 2013 cabelas fishing catalog yesterday. I hafta say it's so much better than the BPS master catalog. I spent a good long while perusing the pages and they carry more reels and rods than BPS. I never thought Cabelas would out do BPS.
