Do You Have A Lucky Song?

Featured Replies

Ok guys I fish alot of tournaments and I've noticed that a couple buddies of mine tend to listen to the same song every morning on the way to boat ramp for good luck or to just get their mind right. One of my friends likes "Dream On" by aerosmith. The other has a playlist of hip hop music he likes. I have a playlist of good country music and right before I launch my boat I play a little "Cinema" by Skrillex and "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites".  My buddy introduced me to dubstep  :Rocker:   before a tournament and it helped me get pumped up so I like to turn it up right before the launch .

I was wondering if any of you guys had a certain song or set of songs you like to listen to on the way to the boat ramp to get ready for a tournament or just a great day of fishing?

GOOD   :music: = GOOD :leisures-and-sports-076:  I also discovered the cool emoticons just now as well. lol good stuff

I have a couple - but most recently it's been Ladies & Gentlemen by Saliva - it seems to work for KVD.

King George

i'm looking to dance with the biggest, fattest lady in the lake so i have to calm myself down with slower acid jazz/lounge music

Since I pedal to get to my spots, on tourney day I always opt for high tempo guitar and drum laden music like:

1. Godsmack - Speak, Alive, Straight Out Of Line.

2. Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart, Wild Side

3. Iron Mainden - The Trooper, The Clansman, Fear of the Dark

4. AC DC - Have A Drink On Me, Girl's Got Rhythm, Back in Black

Once I get to my spot, I then slow it down in my head and start mentally singing slower melodic rock songs like:

1. Rush - Tom Sawyer, Freewill

2. Dave Mathews Band - Ants Are Marching, Tripping Billies

3. Pearl Jam - Evenflow, Alive

OMG by Usher, I hear it every morning on the way to the ramp.

not really a lucky song, but i've caught some nice fish almost everytime while listening to Dee Snyders House Of Hair radio show on Saturday nights at Smith Mountain Lake when night fishing off the dock...

Well, I didn't really want to admit it...was afraid some of the boys here would poke fun at me. But, now that the secret is out...I also like Barry Manilow :embarassed2:

I love third day and casting crowns!!

Me I'm a seducer when out fishing so I hit them with that Levert! This year it will be more of Chris Tomlin. I love his album

burning Lights

Fisherman by Casey Ashley

I will usually start my days of fishing by listening to the Grateful Dead. No one particular song or album, but almost always a live bootleg.

It's funny you chose that video -

I was in high school when old Barry was doing his thing there -

With long hair being the thing then - and my stunning good looks, (and shall we say full sized proboscis) I was getting Called "Barry" quite a bit - though I can't sing at all.

jigfishn10...i was thinking of that song when i saw this topic.  i've tried it a couple of times, but didn't have the luck that guy had.  every time he sang that song, he'd hook up.  crazy!     .......or good editing.

And it's not now? Haven't seen any of my pics, lol.

On the drive to the lake I'll usually hammer some early to mid-90s era Wu Tang Clan. Not lucky per se, just the habit I've gotten into.
