Siebert Jigs

Featured Replies

I fish heavy weeds in summer, rock, brush/wood piles, open water, clear water, dirty water, under docks, shallow water, deep water. I been researching, going to get Arky Head, Brush Head, Grass head, and Football head.

My question is Should I get the heavy duty Siebert Jigs over the regular Siebert Jigs? Will the heavy duty jig affect visualization? Its called the Big O.

i always opt for a heavier duty hook when possible. Its a confidence thing.

I fish with the Siebert brush jigs a lot and they are sturdy, tough, and fish well!

Why don't you ask Mike Sieibert?  Just send him a PM and you will have a quick, truthful, and unbiased response.

Mike can hook you up no doubt about it, but what I find is, to cover most applications his brush jig can't be beat...check it out, it has everything you need in a jig!

thanks all, I purchased the Big O kind in Brush, Mata, Football, and arky. :) thanks all

Yeah, the brush jig is amazing. He does a great job, makes most if not all of the orders as they come, like a gourmet restaurant for jigs! I believe is supporting "local" or American business because that is how this country go to be great, and I feel like that is the only way we can pull ourselves out of this bothersome time we are in as a country. He does a better job then all of the big company jig makers, plus he cares :D purely my OP.

Mike already puts a pretty stout hook in his jigs. I put the owner version next to a regular one and the difference is not that great in my eyes.

His standard Mustad Hooks have worked well for me, but the Owner XXX do make a statement!

I hope you give the Storm Series a try, too.

The main difference between the Mustad and the Owner is the Cutting Point.  Otherwise, both are VERY stout hooks.  I've had great success with both.

Thanks Franco! Ive seen post of his jigs on here and I was sold by how many people said awesome things about his lure making work. I knew owner hooks were amazing. I purchased some Big O's.

Yes the price is amazing. compared to name brands. I also love his color selection. Id rather support his jigs (who look amazing) rather than support a name brand companies jigs who work for a few fishing trips.

You should also check out the Zenith shaky head's, they are some of the best on the market, stand up awesome, are strong hooks, and just perform well overall. My fav. shaky head out right now for sure.
