7' Daiwa Presso U.L. spinning rod
Shimano Symetre 500FJ
2 lb P-Line CXX, main spool
5/1 lb Power Pro, second spool

Now I have to find the time to try this setup out

Sweet combo! Congrats!

I've been eyeing that Symetre for awhile, I'd be interested to hear how you like it.

Very nice combo. Caught some decent bass on UL setups. Even better, sort of, was a nearly 4 lb pickerel! Very fun fight.

Nice setup, I still have a Spirex500 from the early 90s that I use. Won't give it up until it breaks, but its a Shimano, so might never happen.

Awesome setup!

I've got the Symetre in the little 750 size and I like it really well. I've got it paired with a 6' UL Avid and it is a sweet little combo. It's fun to take it and go toss little 2" grubs for whatever wants to bite sometimes to take a break from tossing heavier bass gear.

Nice looking rig!

You should really find out about becoming a Shimano rep, you toss out so many free plugs it is time you get paid

Nice looking rig!! You will have fun with that!

I dont it much any more, but i used to love skipping grubs on a 6' UL under docks. Ive caught some hellacious blue gill and perch on a UL, ive caught a few nice bass too with 1/16th jig head and a small grub or tube!

Sometime when myy little man gets older i may get a couple new UL setups to go down to the river when thiose big shad are running....that is some of the best fun you can have with your pants on!
