This is actually at my school (RIT), I will have to check it out.  I'm in that building all the time and use those stairs and have never noticed anything wierd...

Yup. An illusion based on another illusion, the Penrose triangle. You can also google Mc Escher and look at his stuff. Really makes you think.

I've got a piece titled "Bond of Union", by Escher, tattooed on my chest. I will spare you the pleasure of looking at my man boobs, but here is the piece.

I got it maybe 20 years ago and was given the nickname "Bubbles" by a woman I worked with because if I wear a button down shirt, the bubbles stick out the top of my shirt. I'm pretty sure none of you needed to know that.

 

Escher is quite the artist, and although much of his early stuff is dated, his later stuff could have been drawn yesterday.

The Escherian stairwell always reminds me of one of my favorite movies, ***. Cool stuff.
