Some Recent Swimbait Pigs (Pic/video Soon)

Featured Replies

Recentley me and my friend Kyle have been getting some nice swimbait bites. He actually lost a solid 10lber on the Spro BBz Jr. and man did it put it him in a slump. For the past 2 months I have been fishing swimbaits fluently. No worms, cranks, spinners, only other baits are jigs and a hollow belly frog. And Kyle has been doing the same. Here are some bass from last week that I caught on the Spro BBz Jr. and the Black Dog Baits G2 Shellcracker. And some recentley. Also some of Kyle's bass.

Last night.

Right before I sunk the BBz Jr. into my leg.

Actually had to go to the ER. We tried to make it go through the other side then cut it but it was so deep we couldnt. So I tied it on my leg and fished for 3 more hours.

Bait in my leg must have brought some luck.

My first 9" MS Slammer bass. Had 1 bass roll on it, 2 follwers, and one hit the @#$% out of it and didnt sweep set him. Pulled the bait out of its mouth.

When you hear 9" you're like "Oh, it's only 1" bigger then the 8" Huddleston". But when you get it in you're hands, it's very bulky. Heres a good picture of it.

Atta boy! ;)

Keep chucking them man, it only gets better.

Nice pig collection. :D

There's a trick for painlessly removing a treble hook.

Cut the split ring connecting the treble to the bait.

Tie a loop of heavy line.

Put the loop in the hook bend.

Push the eye of the hook down hard.

Have a buddy give the loop a sharp pop.

The hook should come right out.

Clean it and put a band-aid on it when you can.

Thanks! Seeing you and deep posting up swimbait pictures is part of the reason I got into it. I'm addicted now haha.

I think it would have been a bad idea. When I went to the ER one guy had vice grips and was struggiling to pull it out. The skin was so far off of my leg. He hadto get someone to hold my skin down so he could do it.

gotcha. I guess its mainly for small crankbait trebles then. Did they give you a novacaine shot?

Didnt want to ruin my friends trip there haha. What sucked is even though I tied it around my leg so it couldn't swing, it still did. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Roswell, ay? :)

Are the lakes you're fishing public or private? Either way, I'm jealous! Nice fish!

Public and pressured my friend.

I just picked up a 7" Slammer Wednesday. Very impressed with the number of fish that show interest in the bait. Our bass average pretty small but I still managed to catch a smallmouth and a spotted bass on it my first morning out. You're right, it's a bulky bait and I'm sure the head of the 9" looks like the back end of a pool cue.

What color?

That's a really good color. I tried to get the bass color but it was on hold for 2 weeks. So I just went with the white one.
