I am curious about how many loops you use on either end of a double uni knot. Assume 10lb braid with an 8lb leader.

usually 3-5 for me

i think i remember aaron martens saying like 20 or something off the wall like that. i use 10 each way. i only use it on one spinning rod /w light line. i'm assuming heavier line would require less or need less due to smaller guides.

I'll usually do 5 braid, 5-7 leader if I'm tying a uni->uni.

5 for mono and fluoro, 7-8 for braid. Thinner braid gets an extra loop or two for me

About 7 or 8 for each end.

4-5 for me.  Never had one break.  

6 each..20# braid to 12# floro.

5 for the leader to the braid and 8-10 for the braid to the leader. The braid needs extra wraps because it can slip more easily.

I go 6 & 6. Never had a break.
