5 weeks ago I ordered  myself my first ever brand spankin new boat. I have had a few used boats, but i took the plunge and ordered a new one. It's a 2014 Phoenix 721 PRO XP. I went with the 250 Mercury Pro XS, Fortrex trolling motor, and HDS 8 in the console and the bow. The wait is about to kill me though. I was promised to have it by the end of August, so I guess 8 weeks isn't bad for an ordered boat. OK, DEEP BREATH, just 3 more weeks, I can do it. HAHAHA

you are a lucky man. I remember the day I picked up my used 2000 Ranger last year. I couldn't imagine the excitement of a brand new boat. The problem is, I would be so anal I couldn't enjoy it. One little scratch would make me flip out. That's the one thing good about a used, if I see a scratch, I simply tell myself that it was someone else fault.

My dream boat is a phoenix. Gonna need an update on how she rides once you break in that motor!

Dont sweat it, it'll be worth the wait! I know the feeling....It was a long 8-10 weeks when I ordered my Lund back in 2005.

Im probably the most impatient, need that instant gratification type of guy ever....  I would be going nuts if I was in your position...  Its going to be so worth the wait,  and the end of the month will come sooner then you think...Congrats, it sounds like a beast of a boat and it will be enjoyed immensely... 

I will definatly post pics and updates after i pick it up. Also, i can't say enough about pleased i am with my Phoenix dealer, Eberlin Boat & Motor in Herman, MO. They helped me set this boat up exctly how i wanted. And the price was even better!
