Pumpkinseed Or Bluegill?

Featured Replies

What color do you think i should get for a swim bait, all lakes around here are plentiful with both of them!

Do you think it matters? The pumpkinseed colors come in stock more often(***)

Thanks!

They're pretty interchangeable.

Get both.....

I love your logic!!!

In a lot of instances pumpkinseed tends to be a brighter color than bluegill.  With that in mind the pumpkinseed color may be more effective in clear water situations, where the bluegill color may be better suited to waters that have a little color to them.

I use them both without much regard to water color.

I picked up 2 from Speedbead. Really nice baits with a tight action. Paint and detail is very good.

bluegills are in almost every body of water that holds bass, go with the gill.
