Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)

I love frogging. Some areas are too good to pass up, but unfortunately, no matter how pretty it looks, frogs are not always on the menu. Today for example, bait fish was on the menu. The place we were at was full of bait. So we had to adjust and target the schooling bass.

Ha! I knew you and Gambler were going to cheat and use shiners! Lame!!!

Here are a few pics from todays adventure with Lou. Nothing big, but there were plenty of fish caught. Started the day with spooks and topwater. The Bass were chasing the baitfish like crazy, so we had switched it up a bit. I started throwing a trap for a bit, then switched it up to a EZ. The fish were hammering the baits like crazy, even all the way out to the middle of the lake. It seemed like almost every cast the fish were on. They were striking the bait with such force, almost coming out in flight to attack it. Started to slow down a bit around 11, so we switched up to worms, lizards, and creature baits. The rest of the day wasnt too bad, and ended up around 50-60 fish, and off the water around 3. It was a good time, and great to be able to BS with Lou for the day on the water.

They went after my frog, I just suck at it. I even let one take it but I still couldn't hook it. My SO got one on his frog too and lost it. I definitely did better with my lizard hit wise. It's tough to actually fish when we take the kids. It was a new spot too so idk...just bummed.

Booooo! Booooo! Where's the "NOT Like!" button when you need it!

Nice LMG! Even large numbers of little guys is a blast. Some of my funnest days were tons of dinks. Lotsa laughs. Good times.

Ha! That second picture is a proof you were using life bait! Not cool! Totally lame!

It was good to see that somebody was getting on the fish today,

My son and i went out this afternoon for 4 hours and only got 1 fish (13 inch) and lost 2 others.

oh well, next weekend should be better, cooler temps, and i'm gonna try a new lake, horseshoe lake at tenoroc

Bass Pro opens Wednesday!  The SO and I are having date night there Thursday lol.

I would spend hours in there when I lived in Orlando. Hours...just contemplating the options.

Here are this past weeks standings:

1 . Rovingmutt     102"

2.  Fstr                 101"

3.  Tightlines        98"

4.  AK                   95"

5.  LMG                94"

6.  Jaxbasser       91.75"

7.  Martin             89.50"

8.  Cutlerjay         83.50"

9.   Fishingator     70"

10. Dynomyte       57"

As you can all see, it's still anyone's competition. Everyone in the top 5 still have smaller fish to cull, which can be a game changer. Great job, for everyone participating. Even if you did not make the top 10, there was movement in the bottom 10 category. We have officially 10 more days of competition, to see if there is a new "King/Queen of the hill, or if the defending champ can pull off a come from behind victory. Stay tuned.....

Hey bassinlou I saw a previous posting of the totals looked like you had me down for 5 fish and I can only remember posting 4. Can you clarify this for me?

Lou where are me and you?? LOL what numbers are we at? I think I have 2 for 28.5....Hope to get three more and get into the top 10....Look out Dyno! See you aren't as bad as you think LOL Nice work so far.

Lou and I decided on new categories. 1) 5 biggest for the month. 2) total of all fish for the month. 3) smallest fish of the month. Good luck to all, lol. J/K not really the new rules, but was funny when we were laughing at all the fish smacking the lures all morning yesterday. We could have had at least 400" each, lol.

Man this month people stepped up their game or the weather has made the fish come out either way wow.

It's really close in the top 3 good luck
