Being a bank guy I was always curious to see a pic of your, fstr, Lou, and anyone else we fish with's ride.

 

I will be bringing the boat to the house tomorrow. I will take some pics for you and load them up here so you can see it.

And that video of those Bama Monsters made me go out and purchase that type of frog TW. They look real and the action in the legs looks like it drives the fish crazy, evident by the cast of big girls in his video lol

yea its nice in tight small areas, but I curse at it every 2 seconds because it never goes or stays where I want.

I managed 4 strikes on the frog landed 2. Then I was using the rage Db craw and caught 5, 3 small and 2 nice ones.

Going to the movies tonight may stop over at Wells late night see if anything will bite

This is all I can catch lately in my neck of the woods. Sad I know....

OMG what an exciting and disappointing evening all in one!  I ran by a couple new places on the way to a regular spot.  Of course they were no trespassing and since I was by myself in the Nissan I skipped them.  I got to a regular spot and jump out of the car with two set ups - my usual wacky rigged senko and a frog.  I march right up to the bank, not paying attention which is not like me, and there is a huge splash!  I surprised this ornery gator that hangs out in the area.  He was not pleased.  He came up mid canal looking irritated.  I started throwing my frog and then he started bothering me.  I literally had to get aggressive to get him to go away.  He came back one more time and I just let him have it and he left for the night.  Still alone, I was fishing my frog and I kid you not I must have had 15 hits on my frog!!!  Mind you, I still don't know how to use it lol.  The first one scared the crap out of me because I was still wigged out about the gator.  I was blown away!  I finally calmed down to try to use it properly.  I cast out across the canal and instantly got a hit.  I let him take it before "setting the hook" which apparently I still didn't do because about mid canal he spit the frog :/.  My SO, his daughter and a friend of ours showed up.  Our friend was fishing a t-rigged watermelon worm and caught a 12" and a 13".  I got a few bites on a t-rigged watermelon and red worm but somehow missed those too.  The exciting part was I really got into my frog!  I would fish a worm for a bit but I really wanted to catch one on my frog and I was using it instead of bailing on it.  The bad part was I didn't catch a d**n thing lol.  Sorry for the story but it was a fun evening and I learned a lot!

Gator I am glad you are getting action on the frog. It's exciting to say the least. If you don't mind me asking, What set up are you using to frog?  Braid? mono? What power rod were you using?

Hi girl! Here's what I can offer regarding frogging:

 

1) Drag tight as it can go!

2) 50lbs braid.

3) Make that fish see twice when setting the hook.

4) Give him 1-2 seconds after the hit.

 

Good luck! Maybe I'll put you in my next video as well if you're frogging get's better
