Ordering some Northstar Jigs tonight and want to get some good trailers. A lot of people are recommending Rage Tail Craws, but I feel like they would be too long and big? Do you guys use the Baby Craw or the Chunk? I currently use Netbait Paca Chunks, but a lot of people don't like those I guess. Just seeing what you guys recommend!

Buy the rage craws and bite about a half inch of it off before you thread it onto the hook. It's much easier to downsize a full size craw to the desired length than it is to make a chunk longer! lol

Depends how much action I want.

 

Rage trail products are great when you want a lot of action.  Sometimes I'll throw a chigger craw if I want less action and a bit smaller profile.  

cant go wrong with rage craw!!!

I personally really like the Net Bait chunks. They're reasonably priced, have a great action on the fall or swim, and if you can't find one in a color to match your jig..... 

As for trailers other than netbait, I'm digging the Berkley Havoc Rocket Crawand Yum! Craw Papi,as well as the Money Craw. 

In the fall, you want lots of actions from the trailer and no product out there can beat Rage craw. If it is dead winter, then I will use zoom chuck because I don't to slow down.

Zoom's Fat Albert twin tails may work well for a smaller profile

I use the rage craw and bite off whatever I need to get a certain length.

I like both a zoom trailer(super chunk and Jr.) and a R.I. Smallie beaver.

Zoom chunk/jr is the way to go. Slide it all the way up the shank for a smaller profile.

i like using havoc pit bosses as well as rage craws i tend to yo use pit bosses more cause they are cheaper and the have nice action but you should definitely use rage craws 

When I want a lot of action in my trailer, I always go with a Rage Craw. If I want a more subtle action I go with either a Berkley 4" Crazy Legs craw with the antennas torn off or a Bass Assassins Pure craw. My hairs I go with a 3' crigger craw from Berkley or an Xcite baits chuck. I cut the bodies depending on how large or small a presentation I want. 

It depends on the lake and the time of year.  This time of year I start using a chunk instead of a craw.  The trailer doesn't have as much action, but that is what the bass seem to want.

When I want bulk.... I use beavers, when I want action I use paca craws, and when I want small and subtle I use Zoom critter craws.

I keep it very simple, smallie beaver or a zoom chunk. All my plastics are to or zoom

Swim jig: Twintail menace with it threaded on the hook with the flappers vertically to make it look like a fishes tail.

Everything else, Netbait Paca Chunk

I've been using the Menace and Havoc Deuce a lot lately.

How about a Baby Brush Hog? The Bass seem to like them where I fish at. 

I've seen baby brush hogs used as trailers never tried it personally though

I've landed one fish with a watermelon baby brush hog on a white/chartreuse chatterbait. Dunno if it was dumb luck though.

i caught 3 today using a 3/8 oz Tungsten PB&J Jig with a Green Pumpkin Red flake Baby Brush Hog trailer but I just started using Jigs so I'm still learning what works best in my area.

The rage chunk is awesome. I like the paca too. Don't overlook a yamamoto double tail or a zoom creepy crawler either.

For now I bought a bunch of rage tail craws to match my jigs..I have some paca chunks too
