I'll start by saying thanks to Bobby for taking the time and expense to send me three of his new 1/2 oz. buzz baits.

#1: Having used Hart Throb buzz baits for years I'm fully aware of the advantages of holes in the blade and Cavitrons four holes create a tremendous amount of bubbling.

#2: The first buzz bait I pulled from the box was a red bladed black skirted hawg killer. I can not explain the difference between a red blade and a black blade at night but in my experience red out produces black hands down.

#3: Next out of the box was black on black another hawg killer color, thanks goes to Jack "fishfordollors" Yates for showing me the fish catching power of this color in day light.

#4: Lastly was a beautiful gold bladed bait that had a skirt that is hard to describe, it is black with fine red, silver, & blue flake and chartreuse/black strands plus a hint of blue tinsel. I say "had" because that skirt immediately came off and was put on a 1/2 oz jig. On this gold bladed devil I added a Strike King Perfect Skirt Magic Tails in Super White.

#5: Cavitron is touted as "The Slowest Buzzbait!", if it is not could y'all please tell which one is?

#6: Fish producing ability, with buzz baits the bass either want them or they don't and right now on the Bend at least they don't so this part will have to wait.

Nice post. I look forward to another down the road.

Thanks, Catt.  I have visions of huge T-Bend hawgs smashing these lures.  :)  I look forward to further reports.

Remember- These  are just prototypes. Production models will be here soon . Different colors-finer paint jobs ect. Everyone has personal preferances. I hope you like them-

Here is the Bayou Craw skirt that was on the cavitron- These are a fixture on the Evo jigs I use

Knowing I'll get bashed for this, I have several of the older Bass Pro double bladed buzzers before they had the clacker, and still have some of the original Roland Martin Double Buzzers, and they are all slower than the Cavitron. Maybe it should be advertised as slowest single blade buzzer. It is pretty slow for 1 blade.

Super report, Catt.

I saved your post and will be on the lookout for the new Cavitrons when they are released.

I never considered a red blade being better than a gold blade but will take your advice and give it a try.  :)

Sam, I can not explain the red thing but I know for a fact on the big pond your lure better have red in it.

Bobby, that photo really doesn't do the skirt justice but that is a highly overlooked color on a jig especially when tiped with a black/chartreuse craw.

Ive said it before and i will say it again-"I HAVE MY MOMENTS" not often but I do have them

Ok listen -This is not going to get into a bashing thread- That is not what its about-Its about giving people options to what products they are currently using. I have given away thousands of dollars of product here @BR just to prove this point. Some anglers like and use my products -some dont -to each their own and I'm OK with that.If I can convert some anglers to use my products over the competitions Better for me-Then I make more money and retire so I can get away from you knuckleheads.LOL.

Not to worry Bobby I'm a big boy  :)

That skirt is killer on a jig with a Gene Larew 6" Salty Hawg Craw.

well i for one am a complete cavitron convert long before this post. as soon as i can im going to order plenty more as mine have all gone the way of chubbs petersons right hand... (eaten by alligators....)

the black skirt with red blade has been a long time favorite of mine and really the only color i throw other than white/chart. in blue sky conditions.....

I use Cavitrons and I like them. I have been using the shakey heads since early spring and I like them. I just took a peak at the jigs again just to jog my memory ... Duuuude!

My green Pump/barbwire black/olive-My other standard color jig- Think outside the box or you will always get the same results- if you are happy with your current results-God Bless You
