I like my two Wright-McGills. Perform beautifully.

Mine are the Skeet Reese models.

Got the first one to match my purple and gold LSU baitcaster reel.

Got the second one as I liked the first one so much.

So go for it and enjoy them next year.

Gonna grab the clear water squarebill and lipless crank models when my OT check hits on Friday...thanks for the heads up!

I grabbed a H and a M.  Thanks for the heads up!

I don't have these rods.  I have touched them at the store.  I think that at 2 for $50, the 7 or 7 1/2 foot rods would make decent tight line/semi-slack line catfish rods.  The tips are flexible enough that you could use circle hooks.  The spine of the blanks are strong enough, but have some flex, you could throw an ounce and a half a long way, say to the far end of most long tapering points.

I think that for bass fishing they weigh too much and I'd get pretty tired pretty quick throwing half ounce square bills with these rods.

Loop_Dad U da Man,  just ordered 2    I broke one this summer getting into my boat. I love these rods.

I'm glad some of you enjoyed the deal. After the shipping, they are practically giving these away! I don't have need for them, but I was really tempted myself.

For me, I've just scored Fenwick Smallmouth rod and am happy myself. :)

Thanks for the heads up 2 heavy 7 footers on their way wish they had the MH but hey killer deal on a new rod even if it is turquoise ha.

Yes, haven't tried a glass rod for cranking so this is a great time to give them a go!

The H rods feels similar to MH graphite rods.

I got mine today.  They are certainly big.  Even bigger than some of the other glass rods I've been around.   I got a 7' M and a  7' H.  They are indeed heavy too!  I don't think it's too horrible though.  Especially the price.  They look good.  Really clean fit and finish.

I may get rid of the Medium.

Mine are at UPS waiting for a label... ready to get them!

Just got mine and I can say that I will never order any other fishing rod from Dicks Sporting Goods... 1 rod was shipped in a large triangular shaped piece of cardboard with nothing to cushion the rod, it appears to be ok luckily.... the other rod came in a rod tube as it was supposed to, but the tube was missing an end cap and was just covered with tape, attached to this tape was a two inch section of my rod, the tip was completely broke off. called them and they are crediting me for the broken rod but I let them know I will never order any other fishing rod from them because of their poor packaging.

Mine was the same way.  One huge triangular box, one cardboard tube.  Luckily, mine shipped intact.

If you want my medium rod, I'll be down to Calhoun/Cleveland over Christmas at my wife's parents.  I'll give it to you for what I got it for.

I may take you up on that, that was the rod that busted. My folks live in Calhoun when will you be in town?

Mine came in two seperate triangle tubes. One of which was a good eight and a half feet long. Both intact though.

Yep...one of mine was in a tube and the other in the triangular box. The boxed rod was broken at the tip!!!

I'll be there the 23rd for the next 5 days, I think.

Both of mine were also unsecured in the big triangular boxes. Luckily everything was ok. That's the worst packing job I've ever seen.
