Ugly!!!

I am a big Mustang fan and I am torn about this ... it's no classic ... not sure they will ever get back there but there are some promising features I enjoyed.

I will probably make a better judgement when I see it out on the road.

If ugly was a crime, you'd get the electric chair.  :eyebrows:

I thought it funny that a Camaro ad preceded the video of the Mustang.  Coincidence, or not, you make the call.

I thought the video being sponsored by the Camaro was hilarious. That Mustang will be as popular as those ugly Mustang II's from the seventies.

One day an Audi and a Mustang bumped uglys……behold what arrived!

Well , I am a huge Ford fan , I love the body lines , the problem I see in the new Mustang is that they have incorporated what looks like the Fusion design into the front end , it didn't pull off too well imo .

Almost looks like a wannabe viper from some angles. Not a fan.

Wasn't a fan after 2004, wife wasn't a fan after 2009. Actually glad we're done with the mustang scene after having several each from base to cobras, was still fun, the futures keep getting uglier

lol i was just thinking it looked like a Audi, Mustang and BMW hybrid

I like it.  It's about time that the Mustang has some new lines to it, but it still doesn't outshine the new Camaros.  The Camaro looks like it's doing 100 mph just sitting still.

And BTW retiredbosn, I don't know about those ugly Mustang IIs from the seventies, but the first new car I ever owned was a 1967 Mustang 2+2.  I hope you are not referring to that one, because I loved it and so did everyone else of that era.  Its pick-up rate was astonishing - about 1 gpm (girl per mile.)

Definitely ugly. Doesn't look too sporty, looks a lot like a luxury sedan.

No, I had a 66. The ones I'm referring to were from 1974-78. Just a glorified Pinto that repelled women

I can give you one good reason. Why it looks like a Euro import. This is the first model year ever. That will be sold to Europe.

That was called the Mustang II wasn't it?

Remember the box look is long gone. The American manufacturers are competing with the sloping lines of the Japanese and European cars now. Plus most Americans prefer this look. While us muscle car guys prefer the old look. I like the newer look for the Times were in its 2015. I really don't like the chevies. I was a Chevy guy since 14yo with my 55 Chevy. But the cost reduction in cast iron in 88 made my block crack in my new 88 suburban. I junked better running used suburbans than my new 25k one. It's sad. Now I own jeep wrangler and Subaru' s. I'm looking for a muscle car someday but may build one it's way cheaper.

Doesn't look too bad to me. I like the current model best, the muscular lines are more...muscular, to my eyes. Will have to see if the 2015 grows on me when I see 'em on the road.

I think you're on to something, but I think from the doors back it looks more Japanese. Maybe Nissan 3?? or what a modern day Supra would look like.

Yes the one from 1974 to 78 were called the Mustang II it was based on the Pinto.

I don't care for the new style.  It reminds me of the new Toyota Camry.

My first mustang was a 69 burgundy 400 + cubes mach 1, wish I still had it.  Got a neighbor with a 351 69 mach 1, custom paint and side pipes, looks good but no longer stock...........killed the collectability value.

Yes but I think "Birth control on wheels" more accurately described it.

At least the II gave us a great front suspension.

In the video it looks like a beer bottle opener under the side mirror

For everyone that's saying this car looks ugly, can you post something of what a mustang should look like? I'm more of a Japanese/German car fan. To me, this car looks nice, except the front could be more aggressive. The headlights are too small and that grill looks like a big piece of plastic.
