What hook is everyone using for their homemade Jika Rigs?

I find most hooks have too small of and eye to hold a split ring properly.

3-5/O ewg with #2 split rings. No issues making them for myself.

You don't find the eye very tight? What brand hook?

I know the problem that you speak of, the BPS hooks have a larger eye than many and work as a cheap solution.  Gamakatsu has a 2/0 and 4/0 ewg hook that has a welded steel ring in them, in my experience they work the best.

Gamakatsu. I haven't had any issues with mine. I've also used 3/o Trokar worm hooks. I'm using cabelas brand black nickle split rings in size 2.

I'm using Gammys as well. Hook size depends on bait size

I've been using Gamakatsu and H2O EWG hooks without a problem.

I've experimented with several different kinds of hooks.  The 3/0 Gamakatsu have worked the best for me.   I've gotten better hook ups with the regular size worm hooks as opposed to the extra wide gap models.

Owner Superline Hooks, with the welded ring. Easy to rig and you tie to the solid ring verses the split ring.

Owner has hooks that they sell called jig rig. They have a welded ring already in the hooks eye. All you need to do is add a #2 split ring and the weight.
