Both are on sale for $79.00.  I have a lews and need 1 more baitcaster to add into the collection.  The President was 149.00.  Is it a better reel?  Speed spool is a great reel but thinking President due to its price may be a higher end reel.  Any feed back would be great!

 The president, IMO, will compare to the BPS Johnny Morris Sig reels if you have ever fished or held one of those. I think you would do very well to go with the President over the other at that price.

Haven't used the less but the president for 79.00 is a steal! Great reel love mine.

definately get the president it is a very nice reel for 80, it is a good reel for its MSRP. I am not saying the lews is a bad reel its just comparing it to a reel that is 1.5 times its suggested retail price.

He is looking at paying $79 not $140.  I have a TP.  Nice reel.  I think I would have to go with the President at that price.  I've got 3 Pfluegers, but not the President.  Two lower cost (MSRP) reels and one higher than the President.  I like them and feel Pflueger is under-rated.  Several years ago tackletour gave the President the best value award.
