Sunline Sniper           200 yards of 14lb = $28.99

 

I have used both recently and can not tell a difference on my reels.  I have had zero line breaks with both and no problems with backlashes or memory.  I top shot and use KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.  

 

I'm thinking of sticking with P-Line from here on out.

Cant speak for P-line but my sniper in 10 & 12# I havent used conditioner on the line. Even after a month of use the line was still straightening out after a cast. I didnt get to test it any longer cause season ended. Im going to refill spool same line and see  how long I get away with no L&L on it. If it winds up not needing it that a savings and less hassle of spraying the line.

never tried either without KVD L&L.  a couple of sprays the night before I fish.  

Both are good.  Stick with what you like the most and what fits your budget the most.  I use P-Line for the value.  If I'm using a Sunline product its usually 20lb Shooter for pitching and flipping.

I tried 10# sniper cause Gander was selling it for $15 liked it so thats when bought the !2#, again for $15.

 

One question. I feel sniper stretches quite a bit is there not a difference stretch wise between these?

Why does it matter what we think?  It sounds like you've found a line you're happy with that's cheaper than the alternative.  Not trying to be confrontational, just curious.  I believe you've answered your own question, who cares what anyone else thinks.

When it comes to fluorocarbon, it does. you get what you pay for in this instance. sniper is a great line.

 

it sounds like you've already made your mind up anyway so asking a question about it seems kinda meaningless. if you feel pline fishes the same as sniper, then by all means, keep fishing pline.

so have you used either and would like to provide anything useful to this thread?  Everyone who has posted says sniper but have not used P-Line to know the difference.  

I've used both.  I actually like the regular PLine 100% and have it on a few reels.  I've never tried Pline Halo, not sure which one you're using.  To me, Sniper is more manageable and I prefer it over the Pline but Pline makes great products and I will continue to use it.  I can sometimes get Pline a lot cheaper, plus I like variety. 

Compare line diameters for the rated # test. There are several FC lines offered by each mfr.

Of course I did. If you can't tell the difference then the choice is obvious for you. IMO there is a difference in durability and stretch at lighter lb test.

Its been a few years since Ive fished Either of those lines...Been fishing Berkly Trilene, Seagar Abasx and Seagar Red Label Fluros for the last couple seasons and havent looked back.
