Got a Curado at Bass Pro today, now need a rod to pair with it.  The three rods I am really looking hard at are the Mojo Bass, BuCoo or Compre.  Going to use it for plastics and/or Jigs, may do a little Carolina Rigging. What do you all think, any of those gonna be good to go?  Looking at Bass Pro, not wanting to spend much more than about $120? Any suggestions?

carbonlite, 7'6 or 7'0 Medium heavy or heavy depends on how heavy weight or cover your fishing

For jigs, sensitivity is a premium. Because of that, I'd consider a ***. It's far and away the most sensitive $100 rod. If you look around, or wait for a sale, I'd recommend the Daiwa Tatula rods even more so. Out of the three you mentioned, I prefer the Compre. I'd encourage you to look for sales on the Crucial though. My local gander has several of them marked down to $109. They can't be the only one.

Well instead of suggesting rods you didn't ask about.......or rods not available at Bass Pro like you suggested I'll tell you from experience with 2 of the 3 you asked about.  The Mojo's I have are tip heavy.  The rear grip is tiny and rounded and even though I have small hands, I dont feel like I have enough grip to cast them confidently.  The Bucco is noticibly lighter and crisper.  The Compre I havent owned but Ive had the older Crucial which is the same blank they now use for the Compre. It is well and one of my favorite rods.  Not sure if it has the over the counter replacement warranty, if it does then its a no brainer! Remember St. Croix's actions are heavier than everyone elses, a med. is more like a med hvy. and a med. hvy is like a broomstick.

Take a look at the st croix eyecon rods at bps,they call them walleye rods for marketing reasons but they are a great bass rod for the money.I prefer them over the feel of the mojo line up so much that i recently bought my third one.I caught my personal best (7-8 lbs) on the 7 ft lite model.

They're light, sensitive, in your price range, available in a wide range of powers and actions, and if anything happens to them caused by a defect, BPS will take care of you.

 

If you're set on one of those 3 I'd go with the Bucoo. The Shimanos are nice, light, and sensitive, but I've had Compres and Crucial jigs and plastic rods and they just didn't do it for me. They do have the over the counter lifetime warranty though. 

I have bucoo, mojo and carbonlite.  For me it's between the bucoo and carbonlite.  Maybe go with the better price or consider that the carbonlite would be easier to warranty if you are near a bps.

I've had the Compre 7'2" MH casting rod and I didn't really care for it. To me it felt heavy. I've got 2 of the 7' MH carbonlites and they are great rods. Of the three you mentioned I would say try the bucoo, but I'm only saying that because I don't care for the compre and mojo for those techniques you listed.

I do not want to order a rod without at least holding it and seeing it in person, that is why I have not tried a *** ***.  Bass Pro, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Academy are really the only places around for me to get rods.  Can't spend more than $115 on a rod. Already overspent this year. Was only planning on getting a Revo S and Veritas but I ended up getting 2 Curados yesterday so Now I need 2 more rods...  Are there any other good rods I am missing from the list of rods I should be looking at? Mojo Bass, BuCoo, Compre, and Carbonlight...

While you're at the store you might want to see how you like the feel of a St. Croix Premier (although it might be $10-15 more than you want to spend) and an Abu Garcia Veritas, which is a great value right now at $80.

I have two MH compre's, fast\extra fast. They both are out of the rotation now ,didn't care for them.

I've handled the Mojo in store, and am not a fan of the rod....personal preference.  Never made a cast with one, so I didn't notice the handle.  I will say that if you don't like the small handle on the Mojo, then you won't like the *** Black either.  I made a few casts with the Bucoo, but went with a lower priced rod (it was to stay in Florida for when I visit).  Bucoo was light and I liked it.  Bought and fished a 7' MF Compre while there last year.  I felt my Falcon Originals were at least as good...maybe better.  Have only made a few casts with my Carbonlite.  You won't have to worry about having a handle too small with this rod.  Mine is a ML and set up for 1/4 oz. and less lures.  The regular guide Carbonlites are currently on sale for a whopping $10 off.

just one thing. dont buy a veritas.

I love my bucoos. Just be careful when selecting one. Don't pay attention to the power ratings all that much. Go by the lure ratings. They are typically underrated by about .5-1 in the power catergory. Ex. their 6'10 heavy Pitchin stick is a med/hvy when going by lure ratings but their 7'0 mh has the same lure ratings and action.

I already have 2 Veritas rods. I know they have had breaking issues, but I have yet to have that issue, and I think the customer service will make up for the breakage. at least I hope so. Ive been very happy with the Veritas thus far. Looking at trying something else for the Curado though

An hour ago I was at the Bass Pro and looked at the carbonlites. All of them seem tip heavy to me.  Not impressed  with build quality either or the weird foregrip.  The grip material is a neat idea.

I was in the same boat as you I didn't want anything I couldn't hold in my hands, I wanted to check out an *** and nowhere here in memphis I know of sells *** yet, so I looked at gander mountain in the next town from me they sold em I held one and really liked it and bought it.. Now I'm itching to use it..

3 hours for me to get to a store who sells the ***. All I have read are great reviews, but not thinking I want to drive 3 hours to get one.

If you live near Dicks, might be worth checking out the Field and Stream Tec Spec Elite rods as well. I've only sparingly used the Carbonlite, but I prefer the feel of the new Browning Superlight, personally. The 6'6" MH Carbonlite I had was slightly tip heavy and just didn't feel good. Also, didn't care for the little foregrip nub past the locking nut, it flared outward and felt awkward on my finger. I'd think tapering it to the rod would be a better design. The Superlight has a nice foregrip that is attached to the locking nut. The Superlight also has nicer guides.

Yea 3 hours is a haul.. Lucky I was only an hour away from where I needed to go and an all you can eat buffet was another reason..

How are the Ethos Rods at Academy?
