What's your favorite set up for fishing shakey head. Who's got the best floating most action worms !!

I don't think floating worms are the key to a Shakey. I like the old standby Zoom Trick worms often with a 3/16 football or ball head head and a decent spring keeper and hook fished on 8lb. flouro.  You can keep shortening the Trick worm  after catching fish, so they do last a long time and catch heck out of bass even though they don't have much movement. Often the Trick worms are priced cheaper than the Zoom Finesse worm. I think the general hopping or gliding and fallback movement of the shakey is the determining factor along with the general small profile that makes these rascals "perty deadly". You'll notice most of your strikes come on the fall back, not when they are lying on the bottom for extended periods. If you want more worm movement in one area, it's time to change approaches to a drop shot.

Thanks, I just started fishing a drop shot last summer. I heard a shakey head can be really productive as well. I was looking to fish it some in the pre-spawn on Toledo Bend. Didn't really know the difference between Zoom Trick worms, and Finesse worms.

Hag's Tornado, SK Finesse Worm do about 98% of my shakeyhead fishing.

Trick worm is money. Sidewinder works okay for this as well.

The only real difference between the Zoom Finesse and the Zoom Trick Worm is that the trick is about 1 1/2 in. longer. Both catch them and are widely available down your way. Start wuith a green pumpkin for your first color to try.

Any of the Senko style stickbaits are great on shakey heads for a little bigger profile too.

Very interesting piece of plastic! I just may have to try some of those this season. I know the video is just an aquarium environment for demonstration purposes, but they sure do not know how to present a drop shot - if that's how they do it! You rarely bounce your weight on the bottom like that in a drop shot presentation. You fish the worm on slack line, not taught like that. But again, this is probably just for show & tell. I just hope some fishermen don't see it and start fishing it that way.

What I liked about the get 5 worm was the crawdad tail silhouette.  Wish the worm had two such appendages.

i thought the get 5 worm had the tail of something like a gizzard shad or something, but the profile of the body is far too small to represent a baitfish i think

Ok, don't everyone bite my head off for this.  I saw that little demo of the drop shot.  I have never tried it becuase my T rig and shakey head works well from me.  So what is the proper way to drop shot, and do you have to rig the hook like that or can you T- rig it.

You can rig it any way you want. Wacky, nose hooked, and texas style are all popular.

Do you fish it like you would shakey?  Or more like C. Rig?
