Man Knocks Down Silo With Sledge Hammer

He should have yelled TIMBER!

I've seen this done a couple times. This one didn't go quite like the ones I've seen though.  This one was a much taller silo.  It collapsed more straight down than falling over.  It really isn't a crazy way to do it.  Lots of farmers know this old trick.  It IS very entertaining though!

That was one of the most painful videos I've ever seen.

The operator of that camera needs a tri-pod, or if its one of those head mounted Go-Pro's, would someone PLEASE duct tape his head to a tree!

Runaway tractor? Det cord? 1/4 sticks? Your friend with a sledge?

That was incredible. Stupid but incredible

It should actually be a very controlled demolition. The knucklehead in this video made a mistake by removing too many of the metal hoops at the bottom of the silo. That is why it collapsed so suddenly. With the hoops in place, the silo should just topple over in a predictable direction almost like felling a tree.

If you want to see a really cool demolition, search YouTube for dancing silo.

Common. Thats very common in the amish/mennonite race to do things like this grand fun watching.
