First Time Using A Curado

Featured Replies

I got two of the curado Gs from Bass Pro a few weeks ago when they were $99.  Had never used a Curado before but had heard great things about them so thought I would give them a shot, cause that was a great deal. Anyway, In the few casts I have made, I really like it.  I was throwing a Bronzeye Shad on a 7' MH Mojo Bass with 50 lb power Pro.  That thing went forever! It was awesome. Looking forward to getting a new rod so I get to try the other one out too!

Yeah, they are great reels. Not knocking your reel or anything, but just think, those are the reels out of the curado line people didn't like and its still a really nice reel.

Those G's are really sweet reels...You'll enjoy them very much! Good choice!

Yea i got one on that sale too. My first curado. I like the way it pitches but casting distance wasn't too impressed

Flush the spool bearings and throw on 1 or 2 brake shoes.

I picked one up recently too with never having owned one before. I'm am very thrilled with how easily it casts with two shoes on!!! Even without flushing and lube, this thing is zipping lipless cranks a country mile.

Send them to DVT and have them flushed and super tuned, you'll be impressed then :)

Totally awesome reels for sure, my Curado 200e5 is a rockin' reel.

Yep. Got a 201G7 this winter, and now that I've had several trips out with it, paired with a Crucial, it's my new go-to rig. I'm very happy with the G.

I picked one of those up a few years ago and really liked it out of the box. I use it on a froggin' rod with 50lb braid and I feel like I can send that thing a mile, it's smooth, and I can horse bass through the thick stuff.
