I finally decided on a set up to throw texas rigged soft plastics, Diawa Tatula 7'2" Medium Heavy with a Lew's Tournament Pro. I was thinking I should put 40lb braid and a 10lb fluorocarbon leader. What do you guys think? Thanks   

That should work just fine. You can also use heavier fluoro depending on the conditions you are fishing. You could also use 30# braid. I use straight fluoro though. It's the best choice for plastics. Either weightless or weighted.

I have used anything from 10 pound mono to 30 lb braid. Right now I am mainly using 30 lb no leader

I would go to at least 20 lb floro for the leader... I personally like to t-rig mainly on floro, or mono, for abrasion resistance, visibility, and slack line sensitivity... but a lot of people like the braid with floro leader option...

A little off topic, but the 7'2 tatula has a regular/reaction action which may not be exactly what you are looking for in a t-rig rod. The regular/reaction equates to moderate to moderate fast of other brands, which is an action used for reaction/moving baits most of the time. You might have a bit of difficulty setting the hook, but then again you are using braid so there will be less stretch.

Generally I uses straight fluoro for T-rigs.

15 or 20# fluoro

I use 15# floro for t-rig, and 20# for jigs mostly, because I like the slack line sensitivity.

However I also have 50# braid for heavy cover flippin.

I not picky on this one.  I'll use whatever line happens to be spooled up on on my MH.  Currently it's #14 Suffix Elite. 

For throwing t-rigs I like 30# braid. Keep a semi-tight line at all times though.

I use 50 lb Sufix braid and 15 lb Seaguar red label fluoro. I have been happy with it so far.

30 or 50 lb braid depending on cover. Anywhere from 12 to 25 lb flouro depending on where Im throwing it. Alberto knot in between.

All I use is Texas rig and soft plastics. I have the 6'10 mh tatula with a revo stx. Started off using 30lb suffix 832 high vis yellow. Worked excellent throwing wise but I feel the fish could see it. Then switched recently to 15lb seaguar invizx because of all the reviews. Needless to say I've used the line twice and horrible memory and casting and I'm already switching back to braid. Trying a different color though

Nothing wrong with hi vis yellow. Just take a sharpie and color the last 3-4ft of your line green. You're right about invizx though. I had a terrible time with it. I use Sunline sniper now and it's a lot better of a line. Also put kvd l&l on it and it becomes even softer.
