I estimate this bass being between 7-8 pounds. Tell me if I am wrong. 

Way too difficult to tell by that pic. Could be 4 or it could be 9. Just get a set of scales and you will know what it weighs. Many times those 7-8 pounders turn into 5 pounders and those 5 pounders turn into 3 pounders when a set of scales is put to good use.

You can not afford to know the truth until you buy a scale.

There is really nothing in the pic to use to size the fish against.

No matter how big it was or how much it weighed, I'm sure it was and will be quite a memorable fish for a lifetime.

Like others have said, its really impossible to know w/o a scale. Especially with nothing to reference against, I would guess anywhere from 3 - 8lbs.

Based on the photo I would give it between 4-5 pounds no more but maybe less

I know the bass we catch in tournaments shrink a pound or so from the time we put them in the live well to the time we bring them to the scales. But I have heard that a bass grows the most from the time you release it to the time you tell your buddies.

6-6.5lbs

Need to know length and girth to estimate weight; L x L x G / 1200 = weight in lbs

Use your line to measure the bass and save the pieces to measure later, if you don't have a tape measure or scale.

Length; measure bass laying flat from closed mouth to end of tail, Girth around the widest area with dorsal fin down.

I'd say 4-5..  Judging by your profile pic, you are young, and look to have small hands. In the pic, your hand seems pretty big next to that fishes mouth.
