Do Yum Dingers Work?

Featured Replies

Fishing is in full swing now, and the fish are actively feeding. That's when the Yum Dinger really shines! I've been whacking them lately on Yum Dingers. Give them a try this spring. You won't be disappointed!

   Check them out!

How have you been rigging yours? Caught a few today on wacky zoom trick worm and spinnerbaits.

I have come full circle with stick baits. Started with yum dingers 10-12 years ago and always enjoyed great success with them. Switched to Yamamoto senkos a couple years ago to see what I was missing..... The answer.... Nothing, except more money out of my wallet. Been fishing dingers again since the middle to end of last year, and will keep on doing so. It's great to see Yum as a sponsor here

I swear that only in very few and extremely specific situations that I may encounter once every 100 times I go fishing I have to use Yamamoto Senkos, the rest of the time I fish with Dingers, which, I do not know why PRADCO get these "bright" ideas, unfortunately no longer have the 3" size, man that thing was absolutely deadly ! it had no respect for any bass of any size, I would name the 3" Dinger the "ultimate finesse bait".

My biggest wacky fish came on a dinger!

Forgot to add, and speaking about durability, GYCB senkos -----> SUCK !!!!!!

My first year of bass fishing was last year and my favorite soft plastic was the five inch Yum-dinger in Watermelon Seed color.  The funny thing is that I've not caught a bass yes this season on one yet.  Maybe they are more a summer lure than early spring/spring lure.  I don't know.  I do know I always carry one pack of five inch Yum-dinger Watermelon seed lures with me.

I caught the biggest bass of my life on a 4" yum dinger in watermelon color wacky rigged. I love them so much i put some of there yum decals on my kayak.

Dingers are part of my arsenal of soft stick baits, however so far this year Bobby's sticks have been out fishing every brand that I have, including GYCB.

Dingers rock! I've always got one if not two tied on at all times!

Caught a chunk 3lber yesterday on a Dinger.  At first, I was a little skeptical, but I know a lot of people swear by them.  I believe them now!

Heck yeah I love the Yum Dingers.

I have tried several different company's senko knock off. Everything from yamamoto on... The only thing that is in my boat now is the yum dinger. I wouldn't waste my money on any others. If you fish really clear water try the 5" in watermelon pearl laminate. They can't resist them. Even in stained water that is my go to color!

This topic has been discussed at length already; please see FAQ for tips and tricks on Senkos.

I have always used senkos such as the yum dinger for a while. fish them weightless texas rigged on a 3/0 wide gap hook.

I prefer the 4 inch senkos, 5 inch seems to be too bulky.

I caught a new personal best the other day with a 5" watermelon seed YUM dinger.  Dip the end in clear JJ's and you're in business  :eyebrows:

I fished a few dingers before but always go back to the original senko. I had more success with it.

Yes, Yum Dingers work.

And they don't tear apart as easily as Senkos.

After not getting a bite for the first hour at my favorite spot, I tied on a wacky rigged 4" chart/pepper and caught 4 in the next 30 minutes. I'm a believer now, pike seem to enjoy them too seeing as they bit through my line twice.

Just curious... What does clear JJ's dip do to the bait? I don't use dips... Although I really liked Copenhagen in my day!

I started using it this year, and it comes in several colors.  The clear just adds a strong garlic sent to your soft plastics which is suppose to make to fish hold on longer and the colors have the same smell, but adding some color to get the attention of the fish in different water conditions.
