Do you guys ever like Texas rigging a fluke, not weightless but with a bullet sinker on the line? Or does this just ruin the action of the bait. I'm not super experienced with flukes and usually just fish them weightless.

I don't T-rig them with a bullet weight. If I need more weight then I will use a weighted hook.

I've never fished them with a slip sinker either.  I fish them weightless 95% of the time and either use a c-rig or a weighted hook the rest of the time.

I believe they have a lot better action Carolina rigged than Trigged w/ ss... I think that's where the Fluke excels is that erratic action... The lighter the better.. Just like a senko... But I use them on a swimming Hornet too... So it's just a versatile bait.

I actually almost always rig it T-rigged, and weightless. This works for me regardless of conditions. If it is really deep water I generally don't use a fluke, or I just let it fall on its own. To me, using the bullet sinker really ruins the action.

I put a fluke on a weighted T-Rig a few weeks ago when a fry-guarder ripped my beaver bait apart.  He preceeded to rip the fluke apart too.

 

I wouldn't consider it a go-to by any means, but if you're a confident T-rigger like I am, then it's an easy way to change up your presentation a bit.  I could see it working well on a shakey-head too!

They don't work on shakyheads, not at all 

I've T-rigged a super fluke with a light weight and had success. It was even during a tournament - caught a nice 4lber and a smaller 2lb fish. It can definitely work, but I don't do it all the time. 

I use the Owner weighted hooks and 1/16th oz at the most!  Dying baitfish don't fall that fast in nature, neither should a bait!  JMHO...

I went out today with a Texas rigged fluke with a 1/8 ounce bullet on it and caught 2 bass so I guess it can work but I like the weighted hooks better.

I have done this before and I like the falling action it gives it when you twitch it, I would say it is worth to try

I want to try the double fluke rig but never got around to it...

Couldn't get vid to load.. ( phone) however with the Transcript feature,( really nice..by the way) I picked up a nice tip! Coat hanger! I never thought about that... Also itty bitty bell sinker... Cool tips..

I always rig a fluke will an internal nail weight, unless I nose hook em.

In the back for a horizontal fall mostly but have gotten bit with a weight near the nose for a nose down fall or farther back for a nose up fall.

Started to use the skip back hook design and really like it.

T rig with a small weight was working great this weekend. Caught my best on it a 8#, along with a 6, 2 almost 4 and one almost 5. Most of the fish were on the fluke fished just like this, a couple were on wacky worms. Didnt try it rigged any other way so im not sure if it was just the bait working, or the way we had it rigged.
