Having second thoughts about putting it on my BC so wondering if it would work ok on spinning reel.

Will work perfectly on a 2500 size spinning reel

Would work just fine. Probably better than on your baitcaster, as line with that small of a diameter could lead to digging issues.

It'll work fine. I have 30lb PP on my steelhead bobber rod.

That's what I use on mine

You can use 20lb PP on any size spinning reel if you want to.  I ran 20lb PP on a "25" size Pflueger (near ultralight size) for a long time since 20 is what Walmart stocked. I only went to 15lb PP this season since I remembered to add it to a mail order...

When using braid, I do set my drag to allow some slip on the hookset to cushion the impact on the reel...

Braided lines are more about diameter than strength, 20# PP is going to break around 35#.  The diameter will be no issue on 2500 sized reel.  I personally have downsized my braided lines because of the strength issue, my own opinion is that they are just too strong.  On my smaller reels I'm using 10# braid and don't use any thing heavier than 20# on larger reel for salt water.  The chain is going to be as strong as the leader, when I'm using 10# braid  I like my leaders in the area of 10# mono in freshwater.  Not a recommendation just the way I like to do it.

20lb is a good choice for spinning gear. But no more than that. Like prefer 10lb.

I personally prefer ten and 15 but it's all personal choice.  I like the distance I achieve with the smaller lures with the ten in more open water.  The fifteen will hold twelve pound leaders which is my max for the most part for spinning.  Love the 20 on my cranking and swimbait rods with a leader.

P.S.  By the way this mostly Power Pro
