I have a 7' MH/XF LTB with a 200E7 that balances nicely and fishes a T-rig as well as any rod I've ever owned. Probably one of the only St. Croixs I've ever owned that I felt was rated correctly.

Depends on the generation. I had a full cork grip 1st gen. LTB 7' M/F "Teaser" that balanced great with a Curado 51E, and a 1st gen. full cork grip 6'6" M/F "Jerkbait" that balanced great with a 51E, the split grip 2nd gen rods I had ......not so much, and even with a slightly heavier reel like a Citica 201E they still felt tip heavy. I have not had any current LTB's.

I have a Lew's tournament Mg on my 6'8 mh fast action LTB and it balances just fine. I fish texas rig jigs and a lot of other techniques on it. its an excellent sensitive blank

I own one a second gen. 6'8MXF split grip but still uses the one piece reel seat, with a Team Lew's Gold it balances great and is pretty light weight in the hand. It is the Top Water rod but works great for jig's in the rivers for small mouth,,,my main rod for tube's and jig's under 3/8 for small mouth, in all but heavy current.

I own the 7'1" current gen medium fast rod and it balances about 1/4"  past the reel seat. not too bad and thats with a gen 3 revo stx.

I own the current generation LTB's and I think they balance very well with a reel in the 7oz range.
