Buzzbait/spinnerbait Storage

Featured Replies

I have tried multiple boxes, etc, and still have not been satisfied with the results of storage.  What are you guys using for these?  I have tried the Plano 3707 and do not like it.  Too many skirts get damaged, etc.  I am at a loss, especially for buzzbaits since they do not lay in the box like the pictures show.

I've got the 3504 so I could keep buzzbaits in it, too.  Works fine - though it does seem to take up an inordinate amount of space -- largely because it isn't flat like the other 360's in my bag(s).

I just picked up the Plano 3707.  I'm hoping i like it.

I actually bought a box at BPS last year, specifically geared toward spinnerbaits. The box contains groove of sorts where you insert your spinnerbait by the collar and then the wire can be clipped in to another slot so that the spinner bait stays upright inside the box. You can pack in several spinnerbaits inside of it. Here I found it for you...

Hopefully that will help you.

Plano guide series binder with bags.

cant help but notice that some of the suggestions are the ones the op tried and didn't like...ive the tried the 3707 and im going to try the 3504 next...seems to be an easier way to remove the spinnerbaits and like u said not have the skirts get caught/damaged

If you want to store the most in the least amount of space, I think the binders with bags work the best.

X2, this is the only thing I've found that doesn't drive me crazy.

Flambeau 00550  for spinnerbaits

Plano Spinnerbait Stowaway 3704  - for Buzzbaits

Well I couldn't find a good way to store them, so I eventually just took the container that you get BBQ in and put them all in it. It's worked find so far.

This is the best storage I have found- In a basses mouth

What are your 2 favorite Cavitron buzzbait colors and weights?

I'm right there with you man, the 3707 blows for a spinnerbait box. It does not hold spinners the way it should . The best one I have ever seen that held about 15 at a time was made by Falcon and it was perfect. I can't find them anywhere anymore though. I've been seeing a lot of guys use a Bass Mafia deep box and dremmel slots into it for the spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. It seems to actually work well too.

I have mine organized in an old Caselogic CD binder that I never used. Drop them in the sleeve and zipper it up. Just make sure they're dry first...

This has been my solution for bank fishing. I have a 10 sleeve CD Binder and it works great! From the boat I use a Plano 3704.

I was disappointed. I traded it for a 3607 and it is great.

I'll have to look into that one.
