Does Anyone Recognize This Lipless Crank?

Featured Replies

I was looking through my box and stumbled upon this bait. Have no idea what it is. Does anyone know?

This was my original thought as well.

Strike king diamond shad

Nope, the Strike King Diamond Shad had the diamond pattern molded into the plastic, this bait looks like a custom painted Cordell Spot, I say custom painted because I have never seen a Spot with that pattern and I´ve seen a lot of them,of course I could be wrong but definately not a Diamond Shad.

I don't think it's either of the two suggested. I just checked all my Cordell spots and SK diamond shads and the eyes are not located that far to the front.

Raul the design of the diamond shad has changed a few times over the years, the tell tale sign that this may very well be a diamond shad is the location and design of the eye. Here is a picture of an older diamond shad, notice the fin on the back, but take a look at the design and position of the eye.

Cabela's had a ton of special buy Diamond Shads several years ago with those eyes very far forward. I bought a bunch of them but not sure I still own any of them.
