Hey everyone, got a question for y'all,

 

So I have a Mojo Crankster, medium 7'4". I want a MH rod instead, I was looking into St Croixs upgrade program, looking to get an Avid. I heard a rumor that they no longer have this program. Is this true or not? I was really hoping to just exchange my rod for a better one.

They got rid of it a year or so ago, I don't think they've brought it back

Upgrade program is gone.

Bummer. I was planning on trading in a premier and an avid. American legacy fishing only wants to give me $50 bucks for the premier and $75 for the avid and I still have to pay for shipping to them. I guess I'll keep them as loaners.

St. Croix will still offer an upgrade if you break a rod ans send it in for repairs.

3. That’s all there is to it. There’s no additional s&h charge for shipments within the continental USA. The s&h charge for shipments to Canada is $30. ...other than that it appears that they have abandoned the plan.

 

E-Bay is your friend - I've sold a bunch of stuff (mostly fly rods and reels) this year, bought some as well.

Sooo, since breaking my rod is "not" an option. Anywhere I can get my money's worth? I was looking at the Bass Fishing Yard Sale on Facebook, as well as the Legacy Fishing program ( or something like that), I think we have some club connection with them as well. 

 

Lastly, any guess on what I can get for it? It's in excellent condition. 

70-80$ shipped probably. You can try to sell via forums but the rods used and only retails 120$ new. If you can get 90, take it.

I would assume if they took away the upgrade option, if a rod broke i'd think they would only replace with the same model / line of rod. I'd post it on the forum or some local classifieds for sale.
