School Update....

Featured Replies

  • Super User

I posted on here a while back about wanting to go after my masters and get my teaching certification.  Haven't posted in a while about it so i figured i would give an update.  I am currently on the last day of a class and only have 2 more to go and then it is off to student teaching.  Everything is going according to plan and i should be done by the end of this coming school year.

It was not without struggles though.  I lost my job back in May that i was hoping to keep until i was student teaching but it is what it is.  I am about to start another job as a customer service rep for online issues for another major bank.  I started out on the phones in my previous job and i know it will suck but you gotta do what you gotta do.  The one positive is i can keep the job while i student teach.  Those 12 weeks will be brutal though as i will be teaching from 7:30-2:30 then to my paying job from 3:30-12:00....It's gonna suck but nothing worth having is easy.  Oh and in the midst of all this turmoil, i married my fiancé in a beach side ceremony in the outer banks in September.

I will be very happy when the student teaching is done and i have that masters and teaching certification in my hand....

Congratulations on your hard work. I fast-tracked my MBA in 18 months while working two jobs. It was well worth it & so shal yours!

Best to you & your family!

Sounds like a plan.

Don't forget, Green Top is having a great Ruger sale so you can be ready for anything when you start teaching.

I admire your dedication and determination....not something I would generally associate with an Eagles fan!

Congratulations on your accomplishments so far, and congratulations in advance on your completion of your degree and obtaining your teaching certificate. From your responses on here, (other than the Eagles thing)...I find you to be thoughtful, cerebral, and openminded witih the ability to listen to others ... Sounds like an outstanding teacher to me. Keep going.

Congratulations! Compliments to the photographer too; nice job photoshopping the rod out of your hand.

Way to go! It takes serious strength and character to handle those major life changes while going to school. I have great respect, and wish you all the best.
