I'm curious what the age is of the board's youngest member that routinely uses a Tennessee handle rod?

42, but I don't use it for bass fishing.

Bottom right of the image.  I just use electrical tape to attach the reel.

42. And I have one on a dropshot rod and one on my centerpin rod. Soon to have 3 more bass rods with them.

I'm 29.

I'm from New York but love me some Tennessee grips and Old Charlie Brewer videos.

Not to hijack a thread, but what is the point of a Tennessee handle anyway?

For me, its the ability to have a grip with a larger OD than is available with normal reel seats. For others, it allows them to place the reel where they want to achieve the balance they prefer.

I'm impressed... did you stumble across this rod on your own or were you influenced by an older angler?
