What's up guys? Just starting out on bass since acquiring a kayak. So far I only have the basics in my tackle bag, but I'm hoping to learn some more about bass behavior and try out some new lures. Loving it so far. Way different from saltwater, but I'm enjoying the calm of the bayous and lakes a lot more than open gulf.

Lafayette right now. Grew up in New Roads fishing on False River.

I grew up in Abbeville, and married a gorgeous redhead from Rayne.  That was 45 years ago this month.  She still has family in Rayne, so we visit a couple of times a year.  It's great to have another Cajun as a member here.

New Roads?  Had my St. Christopher's medal blessed by a priest at the big Catholic church in New Roads.

 

Great having you with us.  Nothing like Louisiana fishing and eating.

 

Just remember to wear purple and gold and yell "Geaux Tigers!" when you make that hook set, even fishing for redfish.
