Fishing With Logo Imprinted Lures Work?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

This past weekend I stopped off Basspro to buy some supplies and got a free Rapala lipless crankbait for coming in early. At first I thought it was nice till I saw the huge BPS logo stamped on the side of the lure. Does anyone think it will actually catch something? LoL

I try to imagine a bass seeing it, that's a strange looking fish haha

Just something that was on my mind and wanted to share.

It's no stranger than the giant treble hooks hanging off of it. Sure it will catch fish!

Try not to let it bother you, it will catch fish, it's a non factor...

Rapala released a series of lures with a paint job based on the "Angry Birds" characters.

My friend has one and it still catches fish.  So a logo on lures will have a minimal/to no effect.

Important is the action it has on the water.

They work about the same as a golf ball with a logo, you still have to have the swing.

"Fishing With Logo Imprinted Lures Work?" Is this a real question ?

Yup, just a thought since most of the time you want lures to imitate bait. More of a funny thought :)

Most lures I use the logos are very small compared to the big yellow dot with the BPS logo.

If you think color with contrast works sometimes (most do) then it's a good thing...

If you think color doesn't matter (some don't) then it's a good thing...

It's all good

I don't know, that "Bad Pig" Skitter Pop looks pretty good.....lol  Aside from that I have baits that have Bill Dances name on them.....they still get bit...but then again it's Bill Dance.

I guess that's why this bait was sold in Japan cause bass don't know English  :P

I've always thought a crank with a kitchen sink printed on the side would be a great seller.

"I threw everything AND the kitchen sink, and still blanked!"

Imitate bait ----> what a bunch of nonsense.

What "imitates" bait is not how it looks but how it moves.

it will never work.

You  can send it to me for proper disposal.

Ya can put any logo on any color Rat-L-Trap, they even have a Saints & LSU Trap.

Lures with Bill Dance's signature on them are deadly. Lures with Jimmy Houston's signature are good to, but not as good as that Bill Dance.

Got a couple snap on edition rapalas with big logo on the side they have caught some fish

Lures with KVD on them work perfectly. Darn bass will never learn. Lol New, the Howler works numbers. Just look at last years Classic. Fish can't read. It won't matter.
