What Is This Fish Doing

Featured Replies

Took a picture of this small, smallmouth bass this summer and I can't figure out what its doing, a friend said its waiting for food to pass by but the other 50 billion bass in this lake don't do it so I am hard pressed to believe that, let me know what you think. Please note, this is NOT photo shopped

Pretty cool, and pretty weird.

I have never seen anything like that before in freshwater.

I'm thinking maybe a flounder photo shopped.

Just a SWAG - Don't gobies make holes in the lake bottom that look like that?

Well it's plain to see.....that smallmouth was adopted by gobies.

That fish is a little shy about defecating in public, so he built his own hidden poop palace.  I doubt that he appreciates you posting a picture of him at such a private moment...

I thought maybe it was being eaten by one of the worms from Tremors.

Thinks its a grouper!

One thing for sure, it's a male bass.

It's mouth isn't open!

Big craw dad has him by the tail.

Actually I think he may bad bedding and has over-achieved a little.

It's having a manic episode...

It is cooling down in the cooler bottom temperature.

Now I've seen it all! LOL!

I'm thinking the fish is cold and is gonna start a new rage in the bass world. Next thing you now your going to see bass doing this everywere

A big snapping turtle has his butt.

:)

Now that is strange looking
