Basically there is nothing printed anywhere stating these mark downs? You have to go to the register and check to see if the items are marked down? Is this only for rods and reels or is this applying to baits as well?

I didn't see anything specifying what was marked down, but again I was only looking at rods. I just had the guy working price check a couple that were already marked down and that's when the additional mark down was found.

The Rage rods are the regular price $169....I feel so let down.

No guarantee, but it is definitely worth a check. I am going to try a few others tomorrow, in hopes of scooping up a mega discounted reel.

Yeah I know right. Early this spring I went to dicks and they had the lews lazer speed spool combo discounted to $75 dollars. So I grabbed one and some 50 lb power pro and went to check out. When I checked out the total was a little over $60, apparently it was one of those hidden deals. I'm gonna make sure I load up tomorrow! Haha

They didn't really have anything worth buying though.

I would ask for a price check, regardless of the listed price.

Went the local Dicks and a Crucial spinning rod was $42.50. It was the old model black series.

I got one for $42 and change today, 7ft spinning worm and jig. I know theres another location that has the casting: spinner bait rod and flipping stick, ill probably get the spinnerbait. 

I'm hoping to stop by my local Dicks tomorrow afternoon to pick one up if it's on sale. Last time I was in there they had 5-6 crucials, both casting and spinning, so I hope I can get one. I'm in need of a new spinning rod.

Each retail outlet has sale to move products to make room for the new editions on the way.

I wanted to pick up the spinning pfleuger patriarch badly. I think it would have cost $77 out the door! I've just bought WAYYYYYYYY too much stuff this month!!

Went to another DSG in Mass and scooped some more goodies:

You guys are lucky.. The dsg close to me has nothing good like the steals some of you are talking about.

Picked up the crucial 6ft10 spinnerbait rod for 42. I'll check on the cumaras tomorrow and anything else in this thread!
