I have a 6'8" M XF Carbonlite paired up with a 30 sized Supreme and they go together perfectly IMO. I use it primarily for throwing wacky rigged senkos, shakey heads, and light texas rigs, and it works great for all of those techniques. I don't drop shot so I can't comment on how well it would work for that. But considering the Carbonlites are on sale right now for $80-90, I'd highly recommend picking one up!

My friend and I were trying out a new pond yesterday morning, and, after a half hour or so of no bites, I hooked into a nice fish. After a nice fight with a couple exciting jumps, I landed this monster. It weighed in at 6.23 lbs on my scale, beating my previous PB by a couple ounces. This fish was pretty skinny but had the length and mouth worthy of a 7-8 pounder. I caught it on a junebug red baby brush hog texas rigged. I know for certain that I will definitely fish this pond again soon, and hopefully there's an even bigger one swimming around!

I was just browsing a certain auction site and saw bids on almost new Citica 200E up to $156... I know they usually go for a lot less than that, but it's still insane that someone is willing to pay that much for a reel that originally retailed for $120.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what lures the BDS model would be good for? Would it be okay for squarebills and lipless cranks or is it more of a mid to deep cranking rod?

Just today I was doing some browsing and saw that they are getting really hard to find and are even selling for $50+ on eBay. Does anyone know why they aren't available anymore? At the original $20 price I was considering buying one, but at the prices they are going for now not so much. I really want to try one out but can't see myself spending that much on a single bait.

Are the Black Friday deals for Cabelas in-store only or will they be online too? I would like to pick up a Lews Tournament Pro at $120 if possible.

I recently broke an older carbonlite rod that I really liked (6'6" M/F spinning) and took it to BPS to get it replaced. They didn't have any of the older rods left, so I picked up one of the newer white ones (6'8" M/XF spinning) instead. Has anyone used the newer white carbonlite rods, and, if so, what did you think of it? How does it compare to the older version?

How do you think it would handle 5/8 oz lipless cranks? It's a medium heavy rod, but it's only rated to 1/2 oz so I'm not sure how it would handle them.

Would it be a good rod for lipless crankbaits and squarebills as well as normal crankbaits?

I want to hear you guys opinion on a good cranking rod for around $50-60. I just picked up a Powell Diesel 705CB (newer generation) for $50 but wanted to see if anyone thinks there's a better rod for the price. I've looked at the H2O Ethos cranking rods before and liked them, but I don't know if they would compare to the Diesel. Besides those two options I don't know of many others. Any help or opinions are appreciated. Thanks

I have some of their crankbaits and really like them. I haven't tried their jerkbaits though and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?

I looked at the rebate and it looks to be only $20 for the Supreme MGX since it's $99.99. If you spend over $199.00 then it's a $30 rebate. Still a great deal though!

If I was you I'd take a look at the Carbonlite rods. I just picked up a 6'6" M and I love it. If you have a BPS close you might can find one of the older black Carbonlites on clearance for $60. I've heard the new white ones are great as well and you can get one for around $75 after the rod trade-in they're doing right now.

I got a crucial for $42, a cumara for $80, and a pflueger patriarch for $75!!!

I'm hoping to stop by my local Dicks tomorrow afternoon to pick one up if it's on sale. Last time I was in there they had 5-6 crucials, both casting and spinning, so I hope I can get one. I'm in need of a new spinning rod.

I have two Citicas and I love them. I've never used a Revo S though so I can't comment on it.

I know it's my fault that I broke it and realize that it's not covered by the warranty. I was just wondering if BPS would replace it because I have heard of them doing that for people.
