When I catch a bass my next cast will be a repeat cast identical to that one!

+1 and don't leave until they stop biting.

No, blindly casting to one spot hoping to trigger a strike is fruitless, staying on a spit that is productive can be epic...when you know the proper lure path.

I am not a believer in multiple casts to the same target from the same position hoping to trigger a strike.

If the bass is there and active it will strike. Making casts from different positions to the same target area where the lure path is coming from different depths and angles, uphill, side hill, down hill can be effective. Ounce you determine how the bass react, then you can repeat the angle at similar areas establishing a pattern.

Tom.

Huh, not contradicting?

What ever ;)

I milked bass after bass after bass from the exact same tree, all I did was move around as much as I could ( was fishing from the bank ) perhaps 290-300°, final count was 45 fish from the same tree.

Being in the right place at the right time, the catch is that if you don´t go as much as you can and spend the most time you can you will never be at the right place at right time.
