Not a fan of watermelon red. Green pumpkin black flake or other variations of green pumpkin would be my preference.

Green pumpkin is my go to soft plastic color

Green pumpkin 90% of the time for me.

For me it is a matter of water clarity. The clearer the water the more translucent the skirt.

There is Watermelon Red Magic. It has black, red, gold, green, purple, and blue flakes that the fish can analyze and bite which color they like best.

Watermelon colors-clear water/sunny conditions

Green pumpkin-clear to stained water/cloudy or low light conditions
