What is that? Looks like a modified cooking pot or something. :-?

Yup $20.00 Presto pot from wally world on top of a router table. Cooks and keeps the plastic right at 340 degrees.  Just working on a mixer for it. Pours just like soft serve ice cream.

How many worms is that?  How much plastic did it take?

Trying to figure how far that stuff goes.

Hmm

stick kit: around 100$$

Modified pour pot: 20 something $

additional plastisol, 2 piece aluminum molds, hardener, softener, heat stabilizer, color, glitter...hours of satisfaction making and then catching with your very own baits.

priceless.    ;)

Thanks

That took 20 oz plastic and very little salt almost not a cost factor. We have $100 invested in 2- 2 pc molds. Looking to get some cheaper chunk molds, pica craw and then a finese worm mold. Gallon of plastic cost $28.00 and I'm bettin 500 plus 5" sticks/gal

Lots of old plastic to re-melt and will be saving the used ones to repour.

That was for 65 - 5" and 25 -  4" we also have a good chunk leftover. Not being able to use last 4oz and drain is sticking up 1/4" in pot. We are reengineering it.

Looking good.  Keep it up.  Sometimes I wish I had never started pouring plastic, it is the most addicting thing(besides bass fishing in general) that I have ever done ;)

$28 a gallon for plastic? You using plastisol right? Where are you ordering your plastic from? For me it's like $40 bucks a gallon for plastic at Barlows...

No he is being picky, he wants them without the blue flake. LOL

just a jab from the "color is irrelevant" campaign I'll be running this yr ;)

Buy lots of black, leave the glitter in the arts & crafts box, and pour em by the hundreds.

It's getting closer every day ;)

LBH I don't know why I didn't put this together sooner...But wouldn't you be a prime candidate for setting up shop at home?  What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that prices make it so that pouring your own, after the time involved and the materials needed, costs about the same.  So, to save time AND help promote a guy that still caters to the angler,...I'm going to keep getting my baits from RageTail.

Of course, I'm always happy to demo new stuff, I'm sure I'll give these guys baits a throw too, I mean, they were made by my buds, how could I not?

Brent's stuff is great, especially those Beaver Craws ;)

Sounds good LBH, but just think about all those custom shades of jet black you could be making!  ;)

Brent has always done right for me and hopefully he'll add some 5 and 4" grubs by spring.

yeah pouring is just a tad addictive.  Here soon I'll be pouring a ton of baits.
