6 more weeks of winter... Meaning 6 more weeks of buying, shopping, and buying some more... I just got paid, and I've already got my check earmarked for new gear... Sigh...

I was excited to hear he didn't see his shadow!  W00t!

That is for us guys here in Ontario that is.  :respect-059:

I pray that it's only six more weeks. We will be lucky to see what's hidden by the snow in six weeks let alone spring!

The sooner the better!!

I was going to go fishing today, but it was just too hot!  Over 80!  The rest of the week does not look to be any cooler, and no rain in sight. :(

Fisher: you know you just did that to annoy those of us that can't go fishing tomorrow . Tonite it going to be -2 degrees and tomorrow the high will be +8. God bless and may your knots fail and your reels backlash. LOL

Since when is putting the future of an extended weather forecast into the hands of a rodent, ever a good way to determine anything!

Same here, if we're done with winter by March I'll be thrilled.

Not enough 80 degree days, I really like it about 90.  I have hard time going when it's 60 but I force myself, lol.

It was 7 degrees when I got off work yesterday morning. Took the dog to a local lake to throw a tennis ball for her a bit, the lake was still open after a recent stretch of warm weather. Almost went back home and got a rod, but I know how fast guides freeze up in single digit temps, not worth the hassle.

It has been a cold, but fairly snow less winter where I am.  I just get the feeling that before spring gets here we're going to get hammered.

Fisher and SirSnookalot - we northerners do not appreciate you rubbing our noses even further in it.  Not cool.

I doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think it is probably because it has no basis on anything and means absolutely nothing.

I'm pulling them through the ice until the winter is over. Won't be long now.

We just got pounded with snow here usually early to mid march you can find open water on ponds in my area. You never know here though I hope it gets here quick I'm going crazy!

You guys get to go skiing or snowmobiling, sit by your fireplace with your golden retriever (which I do miss) I can't do that.

I am hoping there will be some open water in APRIL. It was -26 degrees on the way to work yesterday and we have got  43 inches of snow in the last week. New England winters SUCK. I am glad the fishing is so good once the lakes thaw... It keeps me from moving south.

I hear you PapaJoe. I feel like I have been snow plowing and shoveling for days...oh wait, I have!!!

It sucks. Usually I consider march 1st the beginning of spring and expect to be pond fishing by mid March and on the boat by April, but the "outlook" has temps in the mid 30's for highs and 20's for lows through march 20th. Gonna drive me insane!

:cry3:  Somehow, while you're enjoying the sun and casting into the surf in the wee morning hours for fish most of us just get to read about in weather we won't see for months still, I think you'll get over it.

About a half million geese said winter was over yesterday. They were flying north and flying high .
