New Megabass S-Crank

This bait looks awesome.   It's got serious hunting action and will be released at the Classic.

Neat.  Dragging it along the bottom ruins the hunting action and it likes to ride on it's side so a lot of guys probably aren't going to like it.  I'm guessing it's got a knocker/ballast weight mounted up high in the body that is producing the instability.  Beats spending 20-30 dollars on Waddle Bats with their little blades.

Wow extremely nice .. If they aren't too too much I'll try a few .. Right now my most expensive cranks are jdm bling 55

Retail will be 19.99 I believe. I think they look killer.

$19.99 is what I saw too.  I will definitely pick up a few of these.

Looks good to me, hope they hold up better than a 110.

Anybody pick some up?! If so have you fished them and whats the verdict?

I've got a few 110s and havent broken any yet.

They claim the 2000-2005 110 are the most durable. I've got a couple dozen of them but the "good" colors are hard to find and expensive. I've seen Pro Blues go for $220.

100% of the Megabass 110s and the 1 110 magnum I owned broke for either no apparent reason, or from very minor contact with an object. I know they're a great bait and brand, but I can get myself to keep forking over $25+ for a bait that keeps falling apart on me. I'll just have to get by with the KO's and Luck E Strikes :)

Any news on what the depth will be on them?

Any news on what the depth will be on them?

They have 2 sizes the 1.2 and the 1.5.

The 1.2 runs 3-4' deep and the 1.5 runs 4-5' deep.

I have a MB Sexy Shad 1.2 and a Secret Gill 1.5 on order - can't wait to try them out.  Hope they hunt as good as the videos!

Wow and at those weights of bait they should be able tobe thrown a mile .. Where do you all purchase

I think you misinterpreted. The 1.2 and 1.5 are related to their length, the 1.5 being 2.5 inches in length  and the 1.2 being 2-1/3" in length. They are both 1/2 oz in weight. You can buy them at tackle warehouse but they are expensive at $20 a pop.

$20 for a crankbait???? You gotta be KIDDING ME!!!! This trend where baits keep getting more and more expensive is just pricing real people out of the market to fish. Yeah, it looks nice; REAL nice but all this flashy marketing, videos and pro's "adding" their names to products which jacks the price up so they can get "their cut" is just stupid. But then, in my mind paying $20 for a single bait is just stupid too.

I think I'm just gonna quit bass fishing and go back to crickets and a bobber under a nice shade tree...

Get a grip dude.  It's just like anything else.  You can buy the most expensive stuff on the market or not, it's totally up to you.   There are plenty of great baits under $5 for people just like you, who don't want to spend a ton of money to enjoy fishing.

You don't have to buy it. Stay with cheaper lures.

It's like saying I'm going to buy a car. You don't have to buy a Porch, a Geo Metro will do. But some want that name and are welling to pay X% more for something that does that exact same thing.

He has to be trolling.

There are plenty of great products at every price point. The average angler has never had more options and it is a fantastic time to be into fishing in any capacity.

$20 baits are nice but far from a necessity. Well except for me- I needed this S Crank. Got one in Kinkuro headed my way now. Haters gonna hate.

So I stopped by my local Field and Stream last night and wouldn't you know it, they had these in stock. So I bought one to try out. If it actually does what it's supposed to do, I'll be going back and buying a few more. At $20 a pop, its hard for me to buy multiple of something without ever fishing it.

I have no problem forking out $20+ for a lure, but when it comes to crankbaits I tend to go cheaper. I throw them in places most people wouldn't and they're definitely my number one lure when it comes to losing them.

MikeA57 is probably going to hate me as I have 3 of them .  He would really freak out if he saw some of my swimbaits   :eyebrows:

I was thinking the same thing.. I might order one next week to try out.
