Power Ball Dreams

Featured Replies

Although I consider myself a gambler, I rarely play the lottery. However, with the Power Ball jacpot in the $500 million neighborhood I decided to waste $2. I was asked what I'd do with the money if I won and when I answered that I hadn't thought about it the clerk looked at me like I was from another plannet.

I still haven't thought about it, but I was wondering what YOU would do if you won?

And we'd knock down all the fences.  Form a compound.  Build a fence around the whole place and hire guys dressed as pirates to patrol the property.  At least one would have a peg leg.  And an eye pat

My wife and I spoke of this, although we don't play.

10% to our church.

Set aside enough for any education our 2 daughters could ask for.

Pay all family debt off. No more, no less.

Build our house (modest, not a multi-million home)

New vehicles, new boat.

Savings account the rest and keep working like nothing ever happened.

I figured these guys would work better.

We then could hand Raider one of these. Since I think he all ready has the required paper work to own full auto.

Pretty much same here. Tithe 10%, spend 10% and save 80%.

Well no winning ticket, yet again..

Moot point as I haven't bought a ticket, if I do in the future and WON, this is what I'd do.

I certainly don't need that sum of money to secure my future, even 10 million is way more than I would need.  My family would benefit but not to the degree to alter their work ethic or their goals.  I'd start a business to employ people, I would not take a salary.  The remaining couple of hundred million would be donated to special olympics and closely related organizations.

My lifestyle would change, I'd be involved in these activities and fish a lot less.

With great wealth comes great responsibility.

Agreed!

I can't imagine me winning because I don't play.

Of course if I did win, I guess I could take care of all the shirt-tail relatives that crawled out of the woodwork, and then the rest I could use to sponsor tons of high school kids in their dreams of fishing so they don't have to work!

Well not old enough yet but one day..

First I would buy about 500 acres of land build a pretty big house on it.

Next I would build a 50 acre private lake on this land for hunting and fishing.

Third I would take care of my family probably spend 500k on each person.

Then I would make a bait company, this would hopefully grow to be the next strike king except I wont make half the lures suck.

Then I would buy a bunch of toys like trucks 4 wheelers boat all that good stuff.

And then live the rest of my life fishing and hunting.

No worries there my friend - they'd take the majority of it any way ~ they call it taxes.
