Chatterbait Trailer

Featured Replies

what type of Chatterbait trailer do you prefer? one with a paddle tail? Or just a regular fluke type?

I use grubs like the d&m baits come with.

I fell in love with the super fluke on the chatterbait as a trailer. On the retrieve, it darts around so erratically. I looks so awesome. I've caught several nice fish on it.

Had great luck last year using the Rage Structure Bug, rigged horizontal, white on white.

Another suggestion is removing the skirt and rigging a Rage Tail Cut-R, tail down.

4.5 & 5 inch Swimming Senko work well.

Pinching half an inch or so off the 5" is good too.

hey mike...... :) (I may be down that way in mid-April)

sounds like kinda half and half. I typically have used a fluke type. but just had wondered if a paddle tail would be good or bad. if it would inhibit the action on the blade like it kinda works negatively on a scrounger hea.

I have also used a SK rodent rigged horizontal. a perfect baitfish imitator.. imo

and use that on a scrounger head too..

I like a single tail grub, the Havoc grass pig, and the Havoc sub woofer.

I use lake fork hyper freaks for my trailers. The hyper freaks alone have a lot of thump. They're my favorite

I started using a space monkey on my chatterbaits.Blu/blk works great here.I just bought 6pks from Mike.
