Just finished up my first rod for a customer. They wanted a Grateful Dead themed split grip rod with the Grateful Dead Tree of Life. Here's what I came up with. What do you think?

I am using American Tackle Rod Finish. I just tinted the finish. I followed a technique similar to what is explained http://www.rod-crafting.com/articles/marbling-help.html

For the tree I made waterslide decals of an image i found on the internet.

Looks good!  Just be careful going forward on adding stuff that could be copyrighted... there have been threads on RBO discussing this in detail.

Good point. The picture that I used does not appear to have the copyright logo on it anywhere. Thanks for the heads up though. I will be more careful in the future.

I'm not an expert but I think that as long you don't sell the logo your aloud to use it for privatly.  So basically as long as you don't sell the rods you could put them on yours.
