    Those are sick! Great job!
  6. My handpours also! Then GYCB.
  7. Not to jump the shark here but has anyone bought stuff from Barnes & Noble online and then went to the store? Their pricing is different also. For some companies it is just standard practice to have different pricing online, in catalog, and in the store. By no means am I defending it but from a dollars and cents standpoint it makes sense. It cost less money to house things in a warehouse than to have them on a shelf in store because of all the overhead costs associated. I see it more of an issue with the employees not wanting to do the work of giving the discount because god forbid they actually do something! That's just my 2 cents... You can rip me now.
  8. I had actually driven it out of my head that I wanted one. Now it is back in there going "buy me... you know you want me... buy me...".
  9. Go to BPS and get the TD-Pro. It's a BPS exclusive reel. They took the Exceler and did a bearing upgrade on it. I just picked up the 7:1 at the Spring Classic sale for $99.99. They are normally $119.99. I now have two of them in 6.3:1 and one in 7:1. I absolutely love the reel.
  10. I'm heading to my closest store in Portage, IN next Friday. We have a few guys going... There's going to be a lot of money and points spent!!!! I've got over $200 in points and already have about $400 spent in my head. This could get scary really quick.
  11. I have it rigged on every rod but my topwater rod and flippin' rod. I love the stuff. I spray KVD line conditioner on it the night before everyone outing and it's nice and smooth. As long as you tie a good knot it will be great!
  12. Hey... I'm from the Grand Rapids area. Welcome aboard!
  13. I believe both have a lifetime warranty.
  14. Okay gang. I'm looking at getting my first rod that costs around $200. I'm going to use if for larger plastic worms and light pitchin'/flippn'. The lakes I fish mostly have grass in them with little standing timber or laydowns. There are some areas with light pads too. My reel that will be used is a Team Daiwa TD-Pro spooled with 14-17 lb test BPS XPS fluorocarbon. I have narrowed my choices down to the following: Shimano Cumara CUC72MH or CUCX72MH E21 Carrot Stix Gold 21CRG701MH-F-C I've done some searching already so I know how a lot of people feel about the rods but I was wondering if anyone had specific experience with one or the other or both in regards to how I plan to use it. Thanks.
  15. Looking good. I'm sure she'll love it once she starts casting with it. Great job!
  16. Has anyone tried the River2Sea Tungsten Vibe? I'm looking at those right now too... http://www.***.com/descpageCRNKR2S-R2STV.html
  17. Nice. I especially like #3.
  18. Thanks for all the compliments. They are home made. I'm using a stick bait mold from Del-mart.com. I poured some with a beaver mold I have to. They turned out great also.

Just thought I'd post a quick pic of my version of Smokey Shad to see what everyone thinks.

Looking good. Nice work as usual!
  22. Awesome job! I'd take'm any day of the week! Keep it up!
  23. Thanks for the advice. I keep hedging on getting a 1436 or something bigger. If I do that then I basically won't have money for upgrades for a while. Quick question. The 36 in 1436 means that it is 36" at the bottom of the transom correct?
  24. Just to give an idea this is how I mounted the transducer too.
  25. I personally am getting rid of mine. Here is pic after I decked the bad boy out. With a pedestal seat on it I am sure it great. I used it all summer last year without. I had a 30lb thrust MinnKota on the back. I was under the weight capacity and she moved good but she was very touchy even when I turned her around and basically fished backwards (trolling motor in front). It was very easy to over correct. I think it is because the sit so shallow in the water. All in all it was a great boat but now I am looking for more.
