It's not my favorite colors it what color the fish can see.

I use every color bait do to the light conditions, the hues in the water and the water conditions.

Clear water conditions its smaller baits, natural colors baits, fished fast..

Stained water conditions its medium sized baits, brighter colors fished slow.

Muddy water conditions its larger sized baits, brightest colors fished the slowest.

In any condition having a rattle and a shot of scent is a plus.

When in doubt throw fire tiger. The water conditions we see on the surface can change as you go deeper.

Now what crank bait colors do I use all of them.

The orange belly crank baits seem to have an edge sometimes.

Bluegill, shad, and craw along with a high visibility color like chartreuse/black back and red craw or some variant of that.

This is my basic color strategy too.

Squarebills and medium divers: green gizzard shad.

Deep divers: Helsinki Shad and root beer (bass seem to like blues and browns when they're deep).

Rapala's Helsinki Shad color is a huge producer for me with Storms Arashi series crappie color taking a very very close second.

i would have to say my favorite colors are gizzard shad, Bluegill, and a craw pattern. I seem to have more luck with natural colors probly because my lakes are high pressure lakes although chartruce/black back works well too because its something the fish dont see often.

I like white/pearl. Could be because I throw it so much or I feel confident with!

Don't get hung up with one color. I found out every color will catch fish sooner or later.

For the most part the ponds I fish are muddy(ish) to extremly green which is why it works so well. Those rattles really help them locate it. Now when the winds have been calm for days one of the ponds gets pretty clear and it still works well but I normally reach for the Helsinki Shad in more clearer waters (to slightly muddy). That color scheme just flat out works.

I was also hoping it would be more white then it is too but it works. I also throw the silent version when the waters start to clear up and it is just as effect as it's noisy twin.
