You walk up to this pond, little to no structure. No trees, nothing in the water except moss. I'm still in high school and have fished this pond since I could hold a rod, I'm just looking for new methods, seems I've taken them to school.

Not knowing what methods you've used, Id throw everything I had at em and see what kind of pattern develop's.

After you find something that you get hit on, expand from there.

The only bait that does well for me around moss is a hollow body frog. That moss should be gone by summer though.

I would pick a technique I'm weak at & fish it far an entire year.

For me it would depend on how much moss is in the pond, and how deep down the moss is located.  Is the growth all under water, or is it spread out across the surface?  If it is all on top across the surface I would use a weightless plastic, or a frog, as mentioned above.  If the vegetation is a couple of feet under water you might get by with a shallow running crankbait, or a spinnerbait.

A weightless fluke or senko are great options. Swimbaits with super light belly weights should get some attention too...

If the moss is growing on the bottom try a drop shot and make sure your leader is long enough to stay out of it.  Never heard of moss growing on top of the water, most of the time it is some sort of algae.  If this is what you are talking about try a hollow body frog or a senko.

This post was suppose to have a picture of the pond I was talking about, I imagine it did not post or at least it does not show on mine. Any who, it is now my profile picture. The pond has nothing done to it, and I am the only one who fishes it. It is fairly shallow, 6ft max. Those that say it gets better in the summer lie, the entire pond will be covered in moss/algae and weeds... never found a stick, stump or rock in the water.

Same here,Thats what i would throw.

I would try creature baits; Texas rigged Yum Dingers, swim jigs, and the like.

 

I'm just trying frogs again this year after trying the old school ones with little success years ago, so I won't comment on them.
